In Duluth's Opera they are showing the tale of 'Pocahontas: A Woman of
Two Worlds'. This opera is widley recieved throughout the midwest due to the diversity of characters in the show and the accepting of cultures. However, Duluth's production does not include any native americans cast as principle roles. Many people were offended by this news because they believed that this play should involve that sprinkle of culture. I don't think that this is a major deal because a play or 'opera' should be cast due to ability level, and not due to race.
