Anchor In: There seems to be a change in high school environment when students at Eastview take a class that goes against traditional teaching.

Anchor out:  Thank you, Maggie.  I sure wish that that class was around when I was in high school.  I definitley would have been more prepared for public speaking.

Sengstack's Video Shooting Tips

Answer the following questions on your blog:
1. List and describe two things you already knew.
I knew that you should follow the rule of thirds by placing your featured, or most important object in the center or on interesections of the grid.  I also knew that you should never go without a tripod because that makes a shot more clean.
2. List and describe two things you learned for the first time.
I didn't know you should avoid jump cut shots because they create disconnect in the viewer's mind.  I also did not know that you should lean in or lean out to avoid focusing.  I would have thought focusing is beneficial, but I guess because it shakes so much at sudden movement that that is a good idea.

Opening Activity: Steve Jobs

The death of Steve Jobs was very upsetting to me because he died after a long battle with cancer. Steve Jobs was a revolutionary force in technology and owned the world's largest and highest grossing company, Apple. As an owner of more than one of his creations I feel the loss the world is experiencing and appreciate what he brought to us; a new era of music, phones, and computers. He really did invent some of the best inventions of the 21st centrury.
